Kyrgyzstan is a small country located in Central Asia that became an independent state after the breakup of the Soviet Union in 1991. Its economy is based on agriculture, livestock and mining. Of the 195 countries in the world, 72 have space agencies, and Kyrgyzstan is not one of them. Although this may change if the Kyrgyz Space Program, a crowfunding project that aims to send space the country's first satellite, built exclusively by women.
