Helen Clark was the first woman to be chosen Prime Minister of her country in three successive terms (1999-2008) and the first woman to lead UNDP (2009-2017), who also reached the general secretariat of the United Nations in 2016. One of the distinguishing features along her professional career has been her defence of women's empowerment and the right for women to assume political, economic and social leadership just like men do. At the following debate took part: Leire Pajín, Director of International Development of IS Global and Former State Secretary for International Cooperation and former Minister of Health, Social Policy and Equality, and Laura Pérez, City Councillor of International Relations, Feminism and LGTBI of Barcelona City Council. The journalist Rosa Massagué, analyst and leader writer on international affair issues of El Periódico de Catalunya', will be in charge of moderating the debate.
