Shamsie wins Women’s Prize for Fiction

British Pakistani writer, Kamila Shamsie has won the 2018 Women’s Prize for Fiction for her seventh novel, Home Fire. (June 6, 2018). This prize is for the best full-length novel written in English by a woman of any nationality. She grew up in Karachi and now lives in London, is the author of five novels, including Burnt Shadows which was shortlisted for the Orange Prize for Fiction, and has been translated into over 20 languages. She has also written a work of non-fiction, Offence: The Muslim Case.
